Just when I thought I was out...

...they dragged me back in.  We thought the girl child was done with her Webkinz fascination.  We would like to welcome #'s 103 and 104 to the family.

Birth of a skate rat

It's summer out; take off that beanie!
I should have known earlier.  The telltale signs were there.  He clearly preferred scootering over walking.  He didn't learn to ride his bike until he was practically driving.  He listens to Green Day and Linkin Park.  When he's not practicing skating, he's playing Skate 3 on the Xbox.  And now, he is into surf-wear, brands like "Volcom", customizing scooter parts, stickers, building skateboards, and learning to surf.  Yesterday, he actually got out and up on a couple of waves (more than his Dad could say).  We even went to a skatepark.  The bowls were a little intimidating at first, but he was eventually going up and down some ramps.  Extreme Josh.

Pandamonium

The darling daughter is turning 8.  Yesterday, we took 8 8-year-olds to see Kung Fu Panda 2.  Following the movie, we took 8 8-year-olds to Panda Express.  All was well, until we took 8 8-year-olds home to smack a Panda pinata.  Just kidding, the pinata was a movie camera.  It was a legendary party of legendary awesomeness.  Skdoosh.

Dia del Padre

Jillian's Q & A

My father's name is Jordan.  He is 6 feet and 17 inches tall.  He wears size adult shoes.  When he's at work, he works for stocks and trades all day.  On his days off, he likes to go on the hammic and play bejeweled.  He looks handsome when he's wearing his Hawaiian shirt.  He makes me laugh when he tickles me, of course.  He is really good at building legos.  He loves to go on the computer.  His favorite food is vanilla wafer cookies.  I love my dad because he's my hero.

Green...a poem....by Josh

Green is the color of the fresh plants
New music, fresh beat, forget about the rants

Green is the color of my last name
So bright, so vivid, the color's never the same

This color is so powerful, it will always be seen
Never hidden or gone, and it's not really clean

When lightning strikes, out comes the green
You're dizzy and lethargic, so you don't stand, you lean

Green is the color of the mind-bending twists
Those sinister grasps of evil will take you, they insist

When magic spells collide, there's a green burst of light
But don't you worry, that is just the fright

Green may also save you, when you need the most help
You'll think of happy green, like oceans and kelp

Green makes you feel goofy, when you need to smile
Just forget about life, maybe for awhile

Green gives you taste, of the sweetest treats
When you're extra hungry, you'll have a marvelous feast

When you need a color, you'll think of green
The happiness and good times will still be seen
