  • Went to my new favorite dive bar/restaurant in SC:  Dukes.  Thank you Groupon.  We were the only one's without tattoos.

dies de lectulis pensilis

That's right!  That's latin for day of the swinging couch.  It's the annual rite of passage around here:  the hanging of the hammock (and the killing of the lawn).  I think the ol' hammock is gonna get quite the workout this season.  Also, cleaned out the garage and did some landscaping.  Having bbq with the zealots up the street later.  That is all.  Off to my sofa in the sky...

  • Flubbies are 3 and 8...looks like a long season
  • I am no longer a math professional, returning to my amateur status
  • My other brother has been laid off, but I am not worried as he'll find something better
  • Kanye West is dating Kim Kardashian....sign of the apocalypse?
  • The tuckpointer's bid needed to be tucked
  • Dick Clark, the world's oldest living teenager, is no longer living nor a teenager...leaving Ryan Seacrest an unencumbered path to take over the world!

Sixteenth US Census

So, in 1940, Poppa Bruce's step-grandfather Jack rented an apartment on 2776 Jerome Ave, Bronx, NY for $65 a month...not bad for a private detective.  His neighbors included the Samuels and the Glasmans.  Also residing with Jack was Grandma Lena (aka Lee), who turns out to have been born in Poland and worked in a dress shop.  Also, my grandparents Harold and Rose lived there, as well as Poppa Bruce, and Harold's sister Dottie (who was going by the name Dorothy Sheftel and worked as a model).  That's one crazy apartment.

A report...by Jilly

Good morning boys and girls today I am gonna tell you my favorite book character and why.My favorite character is Shannon the ocean fairy from the rainbow magic series. When Kirsty and Rachel find themselves another fairy friend that is Shannon she says she needs there help finding three enchanted pearls the dawn pearl the evening pearl and the night pearl.
Everything is fine but then fairy town gets flooded and jack frost steals the pearls. They shrink down into fairy size and save the day underwater with the help of Cedric the talking toad.Do they save the pearls? Or will the moon just have no effect on the waves. Maybe you just have to read the book.Thank you boys and girls for your undivided attention is there any questions or comments?
